Linwood 19 inches (15 inches seated)

Linwood is an adorable Steampunk Dandy Bear made with dense white and cream alpaca.   His face features a needle-sculpted, hand-painted open mouth, scissor and needle sculpted snout, premium black glass eyes, a sculpted nose, and air brush shading. Linwood has five joints as well as sturdy wire armature in his arms. Applique trapunto paw pads, shaded with an air brush are featured on his front and rear paws. He is stuffed with a combination of Polyfil and plastic pellets for a nice weight and feel. Linwood is quite handsome in his brown wool tweed vest, and striped tie. His look is topped off with a hand stitched suede cloth hat and leather goggles. Tiny keys adorn his goggles and his lapel “pin” is a vintage reproduction of an antique teddy bear button.

Linwood has been adopted thank you!!!

About the Artist

I’ve been making bears professionally since 1993, but my passion for art and Teddy Bears began in childhood. While my earliest Teddy Bear art was made of paper, clay, and fabric scraps, I now create bears of high-quality mohair, alpaca, and synthetic fibers, with hand-blown glass eyes and ultra-suede paws. I make only a small number of bears each year, which ensures that each one is a detailed work of art.

I’ve been honored to have my bears published in the following magazines; Teddy Bear Review , Teddy Bear and Friends, Australian Bear Creations, Baerreport, and Bear Beautiful, as the book Making Teddy Bears: Celebrating 100 Years by Paige Gilchrist. My creations have received numerous major industry awards throughout my career, but the greatest honor is that collectors from all over the world have chosen to bring my bears into their homes and hearts!
